Aiming for Safe Rides and Big Strides
At Cavalcade, we’re cultivating proficiency and confidence for both horse & human in the barn aisle, the arena, and far beyond!
Horsemanship Sessions

We strive to teach complete horsemanship from horse handling, care & health, tacking up and untacking, as well as riding safely and properly. All ages and levels are welcome and encouraged. Choose English or Western styles of riding (or both). While we don’t “chase ribbons” here we do offer an affordable option for learning solid fundamentals that will help all aspirations regardless of discipline, arena, or trails of choice.
Horse Training & Conditioning

Colt starts, restarts, fitness plans, trail mileage, wet saddle pads in general – we can provide this at your place or ours. By employing an extensive background in schooling & conditioning everything from gaited show horses to polo ponies and everything in between (dressage, hunters, reiners, trail horses, oh my!) we can get along with just about any horse doing any job. Call or text for availability.
Horse Boarding

We limit the horse to acreage ratio here at Cavalcade to ensure quality grazing, attentive care, and healthy social interactions between horse and humans. Boarding is offered when available on a case-by-case basis so call or text today if you wish to get on the waiting list for general boarding. Our unique location on Mapp Rd in Palm City offers fast drainage in the wet season, low traffic to and from the farm, and convenient access to Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, and Hobe Sound horse owners.

“Cavalcade is set up for the horses, they need to live and thrive here- the humans only visit.”
Tara Jacobs

What does CAVALCADE even mean? It means “a procession of horses.” This represents Tara’s 29 year career in horses: gaited show horses, rescue cases, pleasure mounts, trail horses, polo ponies, dressage prospects, hunter/jumper contenders, and cow ponies (and she’s loved them ALL!)
What Do I Need to Ride?
- Riders are all required to sign a liability waiver prior to entering barn aisle or arenas.
- Long pants (preferably jeans or riding breeches.)
- Close toed shoes (western boots, paddock boots, or tall boots preferred.)
- Your helmet or borrow ours.
- Need to buy any of the above? We recommend West of Ole England in Stuart. They’ll hook you up, just tell them Cavalcade sent you!
